Restoration of fireplace at Ealing Park House

I carved a new arm for the armless satyr on this beautiful mantlepiece in the eighteenth century mansion in Ealing Park.

I looked up the history of the mansion and found this description:

“The house, described as ‘a noble mansion’, contained a double drawing room 54 feet by 20 feet; a library, a smoking room and a fine dining room with a beautifully carved mantelpiece by Grinling Gibbons. On the garden side was a terrace protected by a stonework veranda and ionic columns.”
